AUCET M.Sc. Physics Entrance Examination Syllabus:
To write AUCET M.Sc. Physics Exam, students have to prepare physics syllabus in their three years degree and basic physics concepts in Intermediate physics.
AUCET M.Sc. Physics Examination question papers contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) = 90 Questions in 90 minutes with negative marking (4 wrong answers = 4 x -1/4 = -1 mark). Now AUCET M.Sc. Physics Exam – 100 bits in 90 minutes without negative marking. Exam pattern may change, hence, we have to cross check the Notification clearly for the number of bits and negative making.
Previously, B.Sc. degree syllabus is in three years pattern. Hence, exam paper designed as: 40 bits from Final year / third year syllabus (Physics – III Paper (Electricity, Magnetism and Electronics) and Physics – IV paper (Modern Physics)) + 30 bits from Second year syllabus (Physics – II Paper (Thermodynamics and Optics) + 20 bits from First year syllabus (Physics – I Paper (Mechanics and Oscillations).
Now in B.Sc. degree Semester System introduced. Even in semester system, per year syllabus content for the students remains same. First year syllabus, Mechanics and Oscillations divided into two parts and made as first two semesters syllabus. Second year syllabus, Thermodynamics and Optics also divided as next two semesters syllabus. Third year two Physics papers syllabus arranged for next semesters.
AUCET M.Sc. Physics Entrance Examination
After completion of degree exams, students will get hardly 3 months i.e. 90 days. Sometimes it may be less that 90 days / 3 months. So, students have to plan accordingly.
Most of the questions will come from third year / last two semesters, so
- 30 days for the preparation of Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, Electronics, Atomic and Nuclear Physics topics.
- 20 days for the preparation of Thermodynamics and Optics topics.
- 15 days for the preparation of Mechanics and Oscillations topics.
- 15 days for the revision and MCQs practice chapter wise and topic wise.
- 10 days for old papers practice and revision of total syllabus.
Suggestions: while preparing for AUCET M.Sc PHYSICS Entrance Exam
- While preparing the concepts, Note down the key points / reasoning points – Lesson Wise.
- Prepare own formula book – Lesson Wise (This will be useful for quick revision of entire syllabus before going to write entrance exam).
- Practice the Numerical in Prescribed Text Books – Unified Text Books.
- Practice minimum of 06 prevision year AUCET Physics question papers.
- Ideal Study Routine: Theory – 4 to 5 hours, Numerical / MCQs practice – 2 hours and Revision / Recap – 1 hour
- Formula Recap daily of prepared lessons before going to sleep.
